World
Welcome to the world of Aetherbound

Aetheria
Aetheria is a world in three parts, the Aether, the Abyss and the Nether.

In the early history of the world, the world was whole. But during the Era of Bloodshed, magical wars ravaged the planet.

Now, the world is divided, and the inhabitants of the Aether and the Nether no longer know the other exist.

The Aether
A world of islands that fly above the Abyss Sea, the main setting of Aetherbound, a high fantasy magic filled world where creatures manifest and heroes rise to meet them.

The people that live in the Aether are known as Aetherbound or Lightborn or Skybound. Their eye colours are shades of blue and green.

The Abyss
A dark realm made from magic absorbing Ink Mist, the Abyss is surprisingly hot from the energies of the sun.

In the Abyss traditional life cannot form or survive. However the Abyss is where Demons can form as concentrations of Soul.

In the Abyss, there are fragments of floating islands, like an asteriod belt of floating ruins.

There is no Light in the Abyss, instead, Demons navigate by emotions and Soulsense.

The Nether
Beneath the Abyss is the Nether. This lightless world has trace amounts of magic that emerge from the core of the planet, but not enough to crystalize into Gemstones.

The people that live in the Nether are known as the Netherbound, Smogboung or Darkborn. They live on the discarded waste that falls through the Abyss from the world above.

They are highly industrious, and have eyes of red, yellow or brown.

Life is hard in the Nether, with no sun, heat heavily depends on distance from the Abyss, with higher altitude being hotter.

The people of the Nether have learnt to put the empty husks of Gemstones, known as Olk into generators known as Pylons to create artificial microsuns, that emit energies that allow for life and growth. This creates thick black Smog which flows into the Abyss.

Life further out in the Nether is dangerous, as the atmosphere seems to cause insanity and mutation.

Wouldn't it be funny if I forgot this was here?
